Welcome

The American Association of State Climatologists (AASC) mesonet committee will be hosting a mesonet meeting July 26-28, 2023, in Davenport, IA.  This will be an in-person gathering open to all members of the mesonet community, data partners, and vendors. We have an open and interactive agenda planned with a mixture of business and networking.

Meeting Goals:

  • Strengthen relationships amongst the mesonet community
  • Increase awareness about mesonet programs, funding ideas, tools, and products
  • Hear from other mesonet groups as they share learned lessons and best management practices
  • Build connections of mesonet related resources

  • AASC Mesonet Recognition Program
  • Updates to the AASC Mesonet Best Practices document
  • Funding ideas and opportunities
  • Development of a professional mentoring/training program
